Micro MAX rookie Luhan de Wet will be back in action this weekend as Round 6 of the Northern Regions Rotax Kart Championships returns to Vereeniging.

Luhan, currently ranked second in the championship, 24 points adrift of the leader, will be looking to add to his win tally. He last won in the opening round. Since then, he has recorded ten podium results, including seven as the runner-up, four coming at the Vereeniging Kart Circuit.

"It's an important weekend for us," said Luhan. "We must win this weekend and keep winning to keep our championship hopes alive. Generally, we have had good pace at VKC but haven't been able to claim the top spot. We need to change that statistic this weekend."

While many will be out on the circuit on Friday for an unofficial practice, Saturday's action will commence with a warm-up, followed by a qualifying session before three heats decide the day's winner.
