This weekend, the nation's top Bambino drivers, including Alonzo de Oliviera, will face off in the highly anticipated final round of the South African Rotax MAX Challenge. The event, held at the prestigious Zwartkops Kart Raceway, is not just a competition but a culmination of the season's hard work and dedication. It promises to be a nail-biting battle as these young talents vie for the title of national champion.

Alonzo, a rising star, is currently third in the championship standings, 18 points behind the leader. His journey to this position has been filled with thrilling moments, and he must be on top form to challenge for the title. As is always the case with the final round, a fourth heat will provide another element of excitement for the championship.

Alonzo missed out on a podium in the opening round. Still, he made up for it in the following two events, achieving five podium finishes, including three runners-up and a maiden victory.

Practice gets underway this Thursday, with Friday afternoon set aside for Qualifying and the first heats of the weekend. Saturday will conclude the national championship with three more heats before champions are crowned.
