KARTING | Rookie Cornofsky Eager for Victory

The fourth round of the Northern Regions ROK Kart Championships will take place at Vereeniging Kart Circuit this weekend, marking the halfway point of the regional competition. Kayde Cornofsky, a rookie in the Mini ROK category, will participate for the third time at the Vereeniging circuit in the regional competition.

The current National and Northern Regions Kid ROK Champion is determined to revive his championship prospects despite his low position in the points table. Kayde is currently in ninth place in the championship standings. He had a tough time in the last round at the newly built Red Star Raceway circuit and didn't score as many points as he had hoped. However, this weekend presents a good opportunity for him to earn valuable points, as he has consistently been a top-five contender in previous races at this circuit.

"We haven't had it easy these last few rounds," stated Cornofsky. "I put myself under much pressure during the recent national and earlier regional. It certainly didn't help that others bumped into me either, but that is part of racing, and the sooner I move on from those moments, the better. We start fresh this weekend, irrespective of the championship points. I want to win every race I compete in so I'll give my utmost again this weekend."

Friday will see an unofficial practice, with Saturday commencing with a Warm-Up Session followed by Qualifying and three race heats.
