EXTREME SUPERCARS | An Unrestricted Neveling Returns to Killarney

The Goscor Lift Trucks-backed Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo driven by the experienced Arnold Neveling will again be out at Killarney International Raceway this weekend. With the National Extreme Festival making its second appearance this season at the Cape circuit, it also marks the penultimate round of the Extreme Supercars - Driven by Dunlop Championship.

Neveling currently leads the overall championship standings after competing in the GT3 and A+ classes. However, he faces a significant deficit in the standings for each respective class. In the opening round at Killarney in March, Neveling competed in the GT3 class, finishing second overall. He will, however, continue racing in the top class for the remaining two rounds.

"It's always exciting to race at Killarney. I enjoy the circuit for its challenging layout but mainly for the speed. Having driven quite a few cars around there in my career, this weekend will see me reach the highest top speed ever in a car at Killarney now that the Audi is unrestricted. With only a slender lead in the overall championship, scoring good points will be vital this weekend. Thanks to my sponsors for backing me and making it possible to race," stated Neveling.

Saturday’s race programme will commence at 10:20. Spectator tickets can be purchased beforehand via Webtickets (https://tinyurl.com/mtaua8es) or at the Killarney International Raceway entrance on Saturday. The full race day programme will also be broadcast live on the Extreme Festival website (https://extremefestival.co.za/live/).

Round 7 of the National Extreme Festival is proudly hosted by the Western Province Motor Club (https://wpmc.co.za/), in association with Smile 90.4 FM (https://smilefm.co.za/).
