POLO CUP | Robinson Looking for Killarney Redemption

This weekend, Astron Energy Polo Cup driver Tyler Robinson will make an exultant return to the Killarney International Raceway for the championship's penultimate round. After a prolonged break, Tyler is more determined than ever to overcome the setbacks from her Cape Town outing earlier this season.

During the opening round in March, Tyler demonstrated a promising pace throughout Friday, securing a commendable fourth-place grid position for the opening race. Unfortunately, an incident on the first lap led to a premature end to her weekend which also took her out of contention for the championship. Since then she has battled the odds and the boys to score some strong results, something she hopes to repeat this weekend. To date her best result is fourth and she will once again look to record her maiden podium in the class.

"Thinking back to that unfortunate weekend only motivates me more to do well this weekend, "stated Tyler. "That result really put me on the back foot but since then we've had some impressive results. The team has always delivered and I am confident that we can again put in a strong performance in Cape Town. So yes, I am definately looking forward to this weekend."

Saturday’s race programme will commence at 10:20. Spectator tickets can be purchased beforehand via Webtickets (https://tinyurl.com/mtaua8es) or at the Killarney International Raceway entrance on Saturday. The full race day programme will also be broadcast live on the Extreme Festival website (https://extremefestival.co.za/live/).

Round 7 of the National Extreme Festival is proudly hosted by the Western Province Motor Club (https://wpmc.co.za/), in association with Smile 90.4 FM (https://smilefm.co.za/).
