KARTING | Chloe Stuart - Race Driver and Victron Energy Active Ambassador

Recently appointed ambassador for Victron Energy, Chloe Stuart, competed at the MSA Northern Regions Karting Championship at the weekend at a rain-affected Formula-K Kart Circuit, Benoni.

Stuart, a resident of Northcliff, Johannesburg, lives an active lifestyle, participating in CrossFit and Karate, where she holds a brown belt. Barry Stuart, Chloe’s father, remembers the early days: “When Chloe was approximately 18 months old, her mom and I bought her a battery-operated car, and she drove it all around the house and even in the garden. We still have it today.”

Stuart, a Grade 8 student of Northside College, wants to pursue a career in motorsport where she can inspire other young girls with the same dream. Now 13 years old, Chloe competes in four-stroke karting and main circuit racing, where she drives a Formula M single-seater race car.

Making her debut in the T4 Junior class of the Tillotson T4 Series, Stuart is one of only a few female drivers active in South African motorsport. Stuart’s weekend started with a sixth-place qualification followed by a fifth-place finish in the rain-affected opening heat. With drying, but slippery conditions, the teenager claimed an impressive podium finish (third) in the following heat. Following a heavy shower, the final race was cancelled, giving Stuart the third position for the day.
