KARTING | Cornofsky Welcomes 2023 Kid ROK Challenge

Cornofsky competing at Formula-K Kart Circuit in 2022

Making his first appearance in the Kid ROK class this season, Kayde Cornofsky is confident that he can carry his early season form into the opening round of the MSA Northern Regions Regional ROK Karting Championship hosted at Benoni’s Formula-K Kart Circuit.

“I’m heading to Benoni for the first time this season to begin my regional Kid ROK championship campaign. It will be completely different this weekend as we’ve competed in two Micro MAX events in 2023, so I will have to make a few adjustments as the karts perform differently. But I have a great team backing me, and I’m sure we can be competitive from the onset,” said Cornofsky.

In 2022, Cornofsky, who continues his relationship with Allegiance Properties, Canario Cornofsky Attorneys,  Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant and Smith Garage, finished third in the regional Kid ROK championship. In 21 starts, the Johannesburg driver finished on the podium 11 times, claiming six runner-up positions and a victory, which he recorded at the same Benoni circuit.

While an official program is yet to be released, the day will typically commence with a warm-up session followed by a qualifying session before three race heats to determine the day’s overall winner.
