This weekend, the Mobil 1 V8 Supercars Championship heads to Zwartkops Raceway for another exciting Regional Extreme Festival round. As the season and the weather heats up, all eyes will be on reigning champion Julian Fameliaris, who has been in prevalent form throughout the 2024 season.

Fameliaris, competing in his Lube-Net-backed Chevrolet Corvette, is determined to extend his championship lead and solidify his position as the driver to beat this year. So far this season, he has claimed six victories, including one at Zwartkops earlier this season. The Pretoria circuit promises to be a challenging test for all competitors, but Fameliaris has proven that he thrives under pressure. During practice on Friday, drivers will fine-tune their vehicles in preparation for a pivotal qualifying session set for Saturday morning at 09:05. Race 1, comprising ten laps, is slated for 12:35, followed by Race 2, also consisting of ten laps, at 15:45. Spectators can procure tickets at the entrance to Zwartkops Raceway.
