KARTING | Bezuidenhout Heads to UK for FIA Karting OK-N World Cup

Tomorrow marks the start of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship, which will provide South African karter Mikel Bezuidenhout with an opportunity to demonstrate his talent while flying the South African flag. The event will feature the first FIA Karting OK-N World Cup, which will take place at the PF International Circuit in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, from September 12 to 15.

The inaugural edition of the FIA Karting OK-N World Cup is part of the initial plans for the OK-N category. It continues from last year's international event during the FIA Karting World Championships in Franciacorta, Italy, known as the "Road to the World Cup." The CIK-FIA has carefully allocated seats to prioritise countries that have previously hosted OK-N events, which sees Mikel take on the world's top OK-N drivers while racing out of the Ward Racing stable.

All sporting and technical checks are scheduled for tomorrow. Mikel will take to the circuit for the first time on Friday, September 13, participating in two sessions, a Free Practice and a Qualifying Practice, before racing in two Qualifying Heats on Saturday, September 14. A final Qualifying Heat on Sunday, September 15, will precede the OK-N final later in the afternoon.

You can follow Mikel's progress on the official FIA Karting Championship app for mobile devices and the FIA Karting website - https://www.fiakarting.com/page/home.
