VW ROOKIE CUP | Goosen Looking for an Improved Killarney Return

Volkswagen Rookie Cup driver Jayden Goosen will make a second appearance at the Killarney International Raceway this weekend as the fourth round of competition will join the Regional Extreme Festival for an action-packed weekend of racing.

Goosen, ranked third in the points standings, is currently seven points behind the leader and three points behind the second-place driver. He is returning to Cape Town, where he achieved two podium finishes in the first round of the competition. Since then, the teenager from Pretoria has added three more podium finishes to his 2024 season, including his maiden win in the last round. Goosen is determined to improve on his previous appearance in Cape Town as he goes on to share.

"It wasn't my best performance in Cape Town last time out. I was incredibly nervous, contributing to my poor starts and putting me on the back foot. While we have worked on the starts and I am more confident, we are sure we can put a few strong laps together and compete for the win. Thank you to my sponsors for the support onec again."

Friday sees several practice sessions ahead of Saturday's qualifying and two races. The event will be live-streamed on the Extreme Festival website on the link below:
