KARTING | Bezuidenhout Returns for OK-N Red Star Regional

Mikel Bezuidenhout is gearing up for an exciting return to the Northern Regions ROK Kart Championship this weekend. Competing in the OK-N class, Mikel will be making his second regional appearance of the season at the newly-constructed short circuit at Red Star Raceway near Delmas, Mpumalanga.

Having missed the previous round, Mikel is ready to showcase his skills and make his mark in this highly competitive championship. In the opening round held at Vereeniging, the Johannesburg teenager recorded his first podium of the season, something he looks to repeat this weekend.

"It has been a busy motorsport year already, with me competing in my rookie circuit racing season alongside both ROK and Rotax karting competitions. While karting is supposed to be something I do to stay sharp and prepare for circuit racing, it remains a competition. And when I compete, I want to win. So this weekend will be no different. However, adding a new circuit to the calendar is exciting," said Mikel.

The action commences on Friday with an unofficial practice ahead of qualifying and three race heats on Saturday.
