KARTING | Cornofsky Aiming for Red Star Mini ROK Podium

Kayde Cornofsky returns for Round 3 of the Northern Regions ROK Kart Championship, looking to record his first regional podium since stepping up to Mini ROK from the Kid ROK class. After a lengthy break, the competition will resume at a new short circuit constructed at Red Star Raceway outside Delmas, Mpumalanga.

Kayde, the reigning Northern Regions and national Kid ROK Champion is a rookie in the super-competitive Mini ROK class and has endured a challenging start across both championships. Kayde has recorded several fifth-place finishes and will be looking to challenge for a podium result despite the added test of learning a new circuit.

"It's been a tough start to 2024. The results hasn't always gone our way, as the Mini ROK class is a step up from Kid ROK. But I'm a scrapper and a fighter and I'll never give up. This weekend I will give it everything again and hopefully we can get a good result," said Kayde.

The action gets underway on Saturday morning with a warm-up session followed by qualifying before three race heats to determine the overall winner for the day.
